Церковна рада Церкви Покрови Пресвятої Богородиці 3-го березня мала засідання та розглянула наступні питання:
З огляду на те що:
• наш провінційний уряд обмежує присутність на богослужіннях до 10 осіб загально,
• кількість захворювань зменшилась але кількість нових випадків ще досить висока,
• лікарні і лікарі були дані наказ приготовитись до сортування хворих, цебто бути готовим до вибирання кого лікувати,
• Центер Боротьби проти Інфекційних Хворіб в США (CDC) не виключає можливости 3-ої хвилі захворювань на Covid-19,
• мутації відбуваються і ситуація може значно погіршитись,
Рішення прийнято,
«Ми не відкриваємо наш храм для недільних богослужінь доти, доки ситуація значно не поліпшиться і ми отримаємо дозвіл на відкриття наших храмів, про що ми негайно повідомимо вас.»
Тим часом ви можете брати участь у богослужіннях по інтернету або бути присутнім на службі в Катедрі Св. Софії після узгодження із отцем Ігорем, по номеру тел. 514-591-5329.
Не забувайте що ви маєте можливість підносити ваші молитви до Господа, також вдома, щоб Він визволив нас всіх від цієї пандемії та робіть це постійно.
Будьте здорові і приймайте щеплення від Covid-19 коли настане ваш час.

At a meeting of the Church executive on March 3, 2021 the possibility of opening our church for Sunday services was explored.
In light of the fact that:
• the Quebec government limits church attendance to a maximum of a total of ten attendees, including the priest and servers,
• the number of daily infections has dropped but it is still high,
• the Quebec government has notified hospitals and physicians to develop protocols for triage,
• the Center for Disease Control (CDC) in the US is not ruling out the possibility of a third wave of Covid-19 infections,
• the occurrence of mutations has started and it may impede the battle against Covid-19.
it was resolved that:
“we will not be opening our church for regular Sunday services until permission is granted by the Quebec Government for attendance of larger numbers of parishioners. When this happens, we will inform our members as to the procedures that will be followed.”
In the meantime, parishioners are reminded that they have access to services on-line and may attend Sunday services at St. Sophie Cathedral, after they have informed Fr. Ihor and obtained his permission. We are called on to pray during these difficult times that God will protect us and rid us of the pandemic that has swept the world.
