Hot water conversion
After last year’s furnace upgrade the only system to use the chimney was the gaz water heater. When we were working on the roof last year we also noticed that chimney had deteriorated and had to be rebricked or rebuilt. The danger was damage to the furnace room if the chimney or parts of should fall. Therefore the most feasible and sensible solution was to convert the hot water to electric and eliminate the chimney . The conversion project was completed June 29 2021. The next step is to tear down the chimney which is planned for this July.

Минулого рокум ми помітили вади у газовому водонагрівачі. Коли ми минулого року працювали на даху, ми також помітили, що димохід зіпсувався, і його потрібно було перекрити або відновити. Небезпекою було пошкодження печі, якщо димохід або його частини впадуть. Тому найбільш можливим і розумним рішенням було перевести гарячу воду в електричну та усунути димохід. Проект переробки був завершений 29 червня 2021 року. Наступним кроком є знесення димоходу, яке планується на липень цього року.
