Schedule of Divine Services for April 2026

April 5 – 6th Sunday of Great Lent.
Entry of the Lord into Jerusalem. 10:00 Morning Liturgy. Confession at 9:30. Blessing of willow branches. Easter Bazaar in our church hall.

April 10 – Holy and Great Friday.
Vespers with the Rite of the Bringing Out of the Holy Shroud at 17:00.

April 11 – Holy and Great Saturday.
Blessing of pasky at 18:00.

23:10 – Midnight Office. Paschal Matins and Festal Liturgy. Blessing of the Artos and pasky.

April 12 – Bright Holy Resurrection of Christ.
10:00 – Resurrection service/obitnytsia. Blessing of pasky.

April 19 – 2nd Sunday after Pascha, of the Apostle Thomas.
10:00 Morning Liturgy. Confession at 9:30. Shared blessed meal in our church hall.

April 26 – 3rd Sunday after Pascha, of the Holy Myrrh-Bearing Women.
10:00 Morning Liturgy. Confession at 9:30.
Memorial Panikhida for those who perished in the Chornobyl tragedy.

OUR PARISH

The Ukrainian Orthodox Parish of St. Mary the Protectress was formed in 1952 primarily by people from Eastern Ukraine who had undergone the horrors of the famine-genocide of 1932-33, the brutal occupation by the Communist regime, the terrors of war and the uncertainties of emigration to a new land whose official languages were unknown to them.
